It’s been a great adventure doing my cooking classes “emixshokudo“ and meet so many new people here in Copenhagen for me.

Shokudo (食堂) means casual dinner or restaurant in Japanese. I wanted to make a comfortable space for everyone who visits this "Shokudo" can have a good time through the fun and tasty Japanese homemade cooking experience. as if you were actually visiting a local “Shokudo” in Japan.

I’ve been working as a vegetarian and vegan chef / food stylist in Japan,  Australia and Copenhagen and I have been teaching Japanese homemade style cooking to many people.

I learned about health lifestyles and different types of vegan diets as well. I believe that Japanese traditional homemade cooking like my grandma’s cooking is the best like old times. It’s so healthy, tasty, and it has a lot of useful wisdoms for a simple lifestyle. I seek to teach how to cook healthy and nutritious food. I want people to learn that cooking is so enjoyable and not so complicated.

I like the way people used to wish their family’s health and good fortune through the dishes in Japan. I believe this makes Japanese food more beautiful. I’m so grateful to realize that after I left japan, now I appreciate my own culture more.
I’m happy to share my own recipes and knowledge about Japanese cooking to people just like I learned from my mom and grandma.
